I thought your video instruction was very well done, easy to follow and would be very helpful for new customers to ACT. ACT 2010 does not appear to be very different form my version 2006 which I guess is good so when we change over there will not be a huge re-learning curb for the staff.

    Thanks for sending this.

    Joan

Useful to see the use of dashboards and social media interfacing. A little hard to see the ACT page as you demo’ed the various features of ACT.

    Nice job. Helpful to me.

I watched your video and I think you have done a great job.

I liked the zoom in effect and your small insert web cam of you.

One observation, I note in Step 2 – Histories you created a TO DO using record history but showed a call completed in the history, suspect the date order was not sorted correctly so the new history did not appear at top

    Cheers

    Kind regards,

    Michael Bryant

I went to sleep….stand up in front of a big screen, a really big screen way over 50″ and point to something, shoot us a screen shot then back to Travis doing something and moving around….I felt like I was watching draperies fade…

    Good Morning Travis-

Thank you for including me in your mailing list to review the Act! 2010 product video. This is very timely as I was recently given a copy of Act! 2009 and had not decided to implement as yet. But after reviewing your video and explanation of the features of the Act! 2010, I will be recommending to my clients that Act! 2010 is the way to go.

I found your video very informative, easy to follow, included actual ‘hands on’ snapshots of Act! 2010 in motion. This is extremely important if an individual representing himself /herself, or representing clients, etc.. What has happened to a number of scenarios over the years of my I.T. Consulting, clients /associates /friends tell me of seeing a demo in person and being sold a different product . When they install it, the software did not look like the same software that they had seen in the demo.

I know that with your knowledge, experience, and reputation in Business Marketing, the scenario that I just described will not happen with Sage and the Act! 2010 product. I would hope that you will keep my name /E-mail on your mailing list for similar review and/or demos, It is greatly appreciated! Again, I want to thank you very much for the E-mail and link to your review of the Act! 2010 demo.,

    Have a great Sunday,

    Ron Mussack

    Travis,

Like past work your attention to details in design very well done.

What I noticed when your PPT sheets show elements in the video window player at the bottom I can see a thin yellow line of text which I think is the URL of some location. If you wanted that seen you need to change the scale or move that text up a full line.

Audio for Elements 2, 6, 7 little low compared to the others.

  7. Eric says:

    Travis,

Videos are nicely done. I like the small window for you and the larger for the demo.

From my experience the first step in selecting a contact management system is take the time to write down what your particular reason and needs are for doing this in the first place, your personal checklist. I know you know and do that with you clients but just a suggestion for those watching your 7 Elements video.

    thanks. I enjoyed,

    eric

  8. Dean says:

I want to do email database marketing for my auto-home insurance agency, would Act 2010 be a good data base?

    • Dean-

Good question. Not sure. Do you prefer to primarily manage a database on a windows PC and have marketing function s as a secondary strength? Or do you want the strongsuit to be marketing, with contact management as a secondary priority? ACT! is shorting up the marketing functionality with this latest release, and their strongsuit is contact management.

      -Travis

      • Dean says:

What I am trying to do is send emails and keep track of the emails I am sending and scheduled future emails to my data base. Kind of drip marketing but using Act to email, schedule and keep track of my emails.
