Many ACT! users are also interested in maximizing the use of their mobile phones to connect with customers and prospects and close more sales. Google has come on the scene recently with droid based phones which tie in many of the free services that have become popular in recent years like Gmail, Google Talk, Search, Calendar and more. What if an ACT! user wants to get their all important ACT! database information on their Droid based phone? There is an interesting solution.
How to Sync Your Android Phone with ACT and Other Contact Management Software
CompanionLink, the folks that allow ACT! users to sync with the iPhone also support Droid based phones. Essentially with the “over the air” application, users sync ACT! data to Google, which then syncs to the phone, and vice versa. This graphic illustrates it pretty well:
If you are interested in a Droid based Phone, these guys offer them. If you are interested in the software to sync with ACT!, you can get access to that here.
Using this software? Experience with the Android itself and ACT!? Please share your experiences and questions in the comment boxes below (scroll).

I don't either! (Yet). If people want a review, I might. It doesn't seem like a good fit for this site. I could be wrong. Others? -Travis
I'd like to see a review! I've heard mostly good things about the Droid so far as performance, but some negative things so far as battery life. Here's what I want to know: is it better than the iPhone on a hardware basis? Next, is it better to the point where I should be willing to forgo the applications available for the iPhone?
Thanks Nathan… Yes, and with the recent launch of the Nexus One, it should is going to heat up out there. I suppose Apple will have more pressure to open it's platform to more than just AT&T. There seems to be a war for who own's the app revenue (Verizon has their own app center, that is why Nexus One launched with T-Mobile first).
Don't be a stranger!
Wonderful post I wanted to know is there any means by which i can sync between my two mobiles directly without plugging into the system please tell me thanks a lot
I have never heard of that request. I wouldn’t think so, but I’m not an expert with mobile devices. Anyone else know?
I learned something new from each video and have started tracking my own postcard campaign.
Judi-
Thanks for chiming in! I trust you were referring to feedback on one of the "Top 5" videos? That's great to hear! Don't be a stranger.

I am expecting to buy a Android phone this Christmas ,i need this information after that so i saved it in my pc.thanks.
Please come back and let us know what you think of the droid. I'm still on the fence as I consider my options? Anyone else recently move to a droid, and have feedback?
Travis I need to access my ACT database by Company name.
Is there a program in the works that will allow me to search on my Android by company name???
I don't yet have a droid based device. There should be a global search function like on the Blackberry, where you can search for anything and include the address book, and then just search for company name. Have you explored this option?

If anyone can tell me, help me or sell me a solution to this problem I would be greatly indebted. I need to sync my google apps mail and contacts with Act 9. Companion Link syncs only contact data, not email. Act wants me to sync to Outlook 2007 as POP but if I change Google apps mail from IMAP to POP I don't have IMAP email on my Droid. Any ideas?
Jim-
I'm using IMAP with Outlook 2007, and works fine with ACT! 2010, this should let you get the mail on your Droid phone still (unless I'm missing something).
Hope that helps.

Travis – I upgraded from Act 6 to Act for Real Estate 11 and bought 1 year service. Still in trial period and customer service tells me Act 9 (RE version) requires mail setup in Outlook to be POP. Is Act 2010 different. Perhaps I should skip the Act RE and just go to Act 2010. Any suggestions?
Jim-
Hmmm, you might be getting conflicting information. Unless something has changed I don't know about consider this article

guys currently I have a blackberry curve with ATT which I enjoy. My contract with ATT is up shortly. I am thinking of switching to an I Phone or the New Droid with Verizon. I have been told that the voice quality on the I phone is not as good as the other phones. Any comments based on your personal experience will be appreciated.
I would do the droid based Nexus One from Google in a heartbeat. The sound quality is amazing. See this video:
