Heads Up Regarding ACT! 2010 Promotion

act-2010-software-best-priceSince the week is short for those of us in the USA (Thanksgiving), I wanted to send a quick notice for those not yet using ACT! 2010.

I just got a message from Sage, that confirmed my suspicions.  As in past years around this time, the promo pricing on ACT! 2010 is going away.

If you have been on the fence on the upgrade, let me encourage you to consider the pricing currently available through the end of the month.  As of December 1, prices will increase an average of 20%.

I don’t share this information to scare you, rather to cover my hide :-}

I talk with so many people in a given day, that I thought this post would be a good way to notify the world of the end of this wildly successful promotion.  I’ve even emailed a notice to subscribers who have not yet upgraded (you know who your are :-}).

Every year I speak to at least one person who missed out on the launch promotion, and I never enjoy that discussion. Buy the ACT! Software here.

As for the $447 in bonuses for our ACT! 2010 customers, thanks to those of you who took the time to comment about them here on the site.  The feedback thus far has been flattering.  There will be a bonus package in December, but likely a different package than what is currently available.

Not sure ACT! 2010 is for you?  Get instant access to our ACT! by Sage 2010 Review here.

Your Turn: As always, this post is incomplete without your input, please chime in with questions and feedback in the comment boxes below.

ACT! 2010 from the Trenches Video Install Guide

act-software-installationOne of the challenges ACT! by Sage users have had in the passed is getting the software installed properly.  It has certainly improved in recent years, but there are still certain best practices to follow.  Just released, the From the Trenches ACT! 2010 Install Video.  Customer feedback from past from the trenches install videos has been positive, and indicate is getting better with each passing year.  This year we are making it available to the general public for purchase (previously included as a bonus for purchasing the ACT! software from us).  We hope this year’s version is just as valuable.   Taken from the description page in the store here is what is included (scroll for screenshot).

ACT! by Sage 2010 Has a New Modern Look and Feel

act-2010-software-under-magnifying-glass-chrisbrenschmidtOver it’s 20+ years of existence, ACT! has not made major user interface changes very often.  From time to time they do make changes and make it easier for users to get started or navigate the program.  ACT! 2010 has more changes than any version since ACT! 2005. ACT! 2010 Available for Purchase – What's New & How to Get it Free

act-2010-database-softwareIt’s true, another version of the ACT! database software is upon us. It seems like just a few months ago the ACT! 2009 Contact Management software released.  The truth is, Sage is backing up their talk of continually improving the product with action, by coming out with another release.  ACT! 2010 features and product input have come from their online community of users, some of whom have participated in the beta program.  I’m currently reviewing the product in detail, and wanted to give you the skinny on the latest release from Sage, and how you can get it for free when it ships in September. ACT! Contact List 3x more useful with this Addon

The contact list in ACT! is great, it allows you to see all your contacts, or a lookup of contacts in a spreadsheet like format, nice.  You can even pair down the lookup with ‘tag mode.’  If you really want to take the contact list to the next level you need to check this out.

I recently had a call with my friend Jim Durkin.  He has a product called Contact List Plus, and it turns the contact list on it’s head!  I recorded the call, and have posted a portion of it here for you to review.  It actually ended up being a full fledged training session on Contact List Plus.
