Received an email from a customer who recently purchased the ACT by Sage 2008 software from me. I found her suggestion an interesting one:

Here’s a suggestion: why not be able to use colored fonts when using the user fields.

So I sent her a quick how to video….then she replied.

Thanks for the help on colorizing my fonts. It was great! It was so simple, but I have never seen it in any of the help menus or instructions in all the years I’ve been an act user…Thanks again.

Here’s the video I shared with her.

As always, please leave your comments below.

Thanks for the video Travis. I hadn’t colored any fields until recently myself but came across a client that really had an impressive color enhanced layout. I decided to give it a try myself and really enjoy it so far. The fields for example that are most important get the highest intensity colors eg. contact and id/status, phone fields another color and addresses another color. This way the eyes are drawn to the highest intensity colors first and the memory contributes to the approximate location for subsequent views to the layout in sum it saves time – a little bit at a time. Thanks for posting the video and introducing this topic.
