Next Version of ACT! by Sage coming soon…
As it is with most any software product, new versions emerge with some regularity these are often in response to customer requests. The folks at Sage are no different.
Recently I attended a closed door event to see and test the latest version of ACT!

Do More with The ACT! Contact List
The Contact List is the spreadsheet-like view of a list of contacts in your database. In ACT! 2005/2006 this contact list is shown when more than one contact shows up on a layout. It can also be brought up by hitting the [F8] key on your keyboard.
You may have noticed how static and even stale the Contact List view is in ACT!? As the product ships there isn’t a ton of flexibility to spruce it up and make it what I call Visually Intelligent. That is, you look at the list and instantly know key information about the contacts represented on the screen.
On an TeleSeminar Thursday June 22 at 6pm PST 9pm EST I have a special guest who has a way to do make the Contact List visually intelligent. One example, imagine if you could make a contact yellow whose birthday is in the next 30 days, but orange if their birthday is within the next 7 days? Perhaps you want to colorize your sales territories, or colorize based on title or ID/Status. The possibilities are profound.
