With about 10 days left in the month, Mary wants to provide an update the managers meeting tomorrow, as to the success of the campaign. What is the best piece of information to share? Is it going to be compelling enough? Learn how she does it, and in the process how she leverages one of the Top 5 Overlooked Features of the ACT! Database Software.

Good Video Travis. Thank you for the tip on the Referred by field for opportunities that’s a keeper. The export to Excel feature has been the answer for a variety of short-term challenges I am so glad it’s part of the feature set. We used it recently where a client didn’t have time to recreate templates in ACT! that they already had in Word so modified the columns in the contact list, exported to Excel, used the previously created templates; problem solved. Later they went back and created the Templates in ACT! but once again the export to Excel provided a quick workaround. The ability to generate data that can be summarized quickly like that in Excel is nice and does allow you to look at the data from different totals perspectives and graphical options with minimal effort. I don’t care much for charting but that’s easy enough and good for most of my needs; it’s a keeper too. Looking forward to the next video.
Glad you found it useful Steve, these are powerful features when used in the right situation can provide valuable insight for any business.

Travis, I appreciate your reviewing some features I forgot about. I need to read the new ACT user manual when it comes available. Keep up the good effort.
Hi Travis,
Appreciate your taking the time to create these videos, it is easier to grasp the concept watching the steps instead of just reading the instructions. I just upgraded to 2009 from 2000 so this is very helpful.
Joe-
Glad you found it useful. Was there anything specific in video 4, or any video, that jumped out at you as most helpful?

PS: I trust you are finding the ACT 2009
software a nice upgrade? Much different
(improved) from 2000.
Travis, the lookup feature highlighted a much greater lookup than I even thought about. Up to date I’ve used it as a find button not a creative button.. Thats great..
Funny how one doesn’t seem to look very far into what one is doing to see what further implications are available
Thanks
SAM
It’s easy to forget some of the features of Act as there are many.
Your video’s help refresh the many options available & as you watch the video you remember other options.
Keep them coming
Thank you for the videos, they really got me thinking. How I can use ACT in my business. But now I have so many questions and I feel overwhelmed and I'm not sure where to start! My employer doesnt know how this program will be useful , but i see so many possiblites. What do you suggest I do first in order to wow him just a bit! Thanks again for the encouragement … I really think this will work!
Great feedback Doreen. Honestly, to master the program takes some time, go easy, and continue to add value in your organization by demonstrating features and functions that you learn as opportunities arise. Management needs to see ACT! as a tool, but it is also an investment that can give a return if invested properly, in training, coaching, and proper implementation.
Stick around, and let us know how it goes, ok?

Having watched the first 3 videos I've got to say that the "repetition" in the video intros is a bit much. Perhaps you could make the intro a bit more concise or assume we have seen the previous vid and know where we are heading. The second half of each is fairly well done but runs a little fast for the first timers. Bottom line: a good effort but I would prefer a shorter intro and a longer explanation of how things happen (and why).
Terry
Excellent feedback Terry! Thanks for taking the time. I find each time I do videos I learn a new trick or two. Hopefully they will continue to improve.
Others? Please chime in.

Indeed, there are many options with the program. They probably could offer a “simple” version at some point, as many of the features are lost or forgotten. If one takes the time to learn how to use the software better the same will be way ahead of their competitors.
